Sumangala Scholarship - (Academic year 2026-2027)

Finishing school is a major milestone for your child !! The choices they make now will shape their lives. We at Sumangala would like to contribute our bit to help them achieve their destiny. As a CSR initiative, we are offering scholarship to enable and support your child to study Engineering Degree / Diploma.
We at Sumangala do not just understand steel but we understand you - the people involved in the Construction Industry and its related Steel business - just as well !!

Eligibility Criteria:

• You should have passed 10th (for Diploma) / 12th (for B.E.) in academic year 2025-2026 with a minimum of 70% marks.
• Student should have studied his / her 10th and 12th in Tamil Nadu and / or Pondicherry only.
• You should have permanent residence in Tamil Nadu or Pondicherry only.
• Either your father or mother should work in the Construction Industry or Engineering Offices associated with construction or with the Dealers of Steel products in the construction Industry.
• Your family income ( Father & Mother) shall not exceed Rs.6.00 lakhs per annum.
• Those who had passed their 10th / 12th in 2025 and had taken a break for genuine reasons and did not pursue any courses are eligible to apply for Diploma / Engineering respectively.
• Those who had passed in academic year 2025 and currently pursuing any course are NOT eligible to apply.
• Those who had passed prior to academic year 2025 are NOT eligible to apply.
• Those who have already completed Diploma and getting themselves enrolled in 2nd year Engineering (Lateral Entry) are eligible for this Scholarship.

Application Process:

• Fill the details at the bottom of the page and submit to download and print the Application Form.
• Fill up the form and send it by either of the following with the required attachments:
• By Email to : scholarship@sumangalasteel.in
• By Registered Post with Acknowledgement Due / Courier along with the required attachments to :
  Sumangala Steel Private Limited
  4th Floor, The Lords building Phase 2,
  Northern extension area,1&2, Jawaharlal Nehru salai,
  Thiru vi ka industrial Estate,
  Ekkatuthangal, Chennai - 600 032.
  with superscription as “APPLICATION FOR SCHOLARSHIP for the Academic Year 2026-27.”
  
• Last date for receipt of filled-in application form along with its Annexures either by Courier, Email or by Registered Post with Acknowledgement Due: On or before JUNE 30, 2026.
• Application received after JUNE 30, 2026 will not be considered.
• Applications without required attachments will be summarily rejected.

Selection Process:

• The Candidates who meet the Eligibility Criteria as mentioned above, will be selected purely based on LUCKY DRAW.
• Once the students are selected through LUCKY DRAW, physical verification will be made.

Note:

It is the responsibility of the Student to get admission in any of the following in Tamil Nadu or Pondicherry, only through Government Counseling:

• Government Engineering Colleges in Tamil Nadu or Pondicherry
• Engineering Colleges affiliated to Anna University or Pondicherry University
• Government Polytechnics in Tamil Nadu or Pondicherry
• Private Polytechnics in Tamil Nadu or Pondicherry
• Private Engineering Colleges in Tamil Nadu or Pondicherry

Disbursement of Scholarship:

• Students selected by LUCKY DRAW shall submit a copy of the Admission letter along with the tuition fee challan to Sumangala Steel Private Limited by Email to scholarship@sumangalasteel.in
• Scholarship is only for the tuition fee up to an amount of Rs.1,00,000/- per year or at actuals for Engineering and Rs.75,000/- per year or at actuals for Diploma, whichever is lower.
• Tuition fees will be paid by Sumangala Steel Private Limited directly to the respective College / Polytechnic Institute or to the Student / Parents on confirmation that the student has paid the fees to the institution.
